VOL NOEL KINNER

Noel Kinner lived his life with genuine feelings & along with those feelings came Genuine actions in support for the cause that he new to be just and true, Noel gave his all for the community and its struggle to resist Violent Republicanism, Noel Kinner was a true loyalist Noel Kinner was a true Son of Ulster.

Noel witnessed 1st hand his community being attacked by the forces of evil and he done his utmost to resist that evil, Noel joined No5 Platoon A Company of the 1st Battalion Ulster Volunteer Force and always led from the front from within that platoon, noel stood with his comrades "as Ulster Volunteers did all over Northern Ireland" defending his community & kin from Republican attack, this commitment to his country never faltered until the day when Noel was arrested on the falls rd in 1979 immediately after the execution of a PIRA activist, and the wounding of another Leading Republican.
Noel was sentenced to life imprisonment of which he served 15 years, noel done his time like a true soldier and just as he lived his life on the outside never shirked from his duties as an Ulster Volunteer, He was during his time in Long Kesh Officer Commanding over all UVF personnel in the prison but even more than this Noel Kinner was like a Brother to every man who served time in the Maze along side him.

Noel was released from prison in 1994 and immediately offered his services once more to his commanding Officer in No 5 platoon - for the next 2 years of his life he continued to fight The Republican Movement any way he could, Noel also continued to help the Prisoners who remained in jail working with the prisoners relief & support group EPIC on a day to day basis, Sadly he struggled to adjust to life outside prison," an effect long term jail had on so many prisoners" the health problems he had encountered in the later years of his sentence returned to haunt him once again "that ill health was without question brought on by years of coping with the drastic conditions in jail", Noel sadly died of a heart attack on 4th Nov 1996 in his home on the Shankill Rd.
Noel Kinner lies at the top end of Belfast city (Dundonald) and will be with out question looking down on his comrades & fellow countrymen as they use voice pen & Hand to maintain the Cause of resisting the evil ways Irish Republicanism, the same cause he proudly & fiercely dedicated his entire Adult life to, God Bless The Sons of Ulster,
