To be a member of the Sons of Ulster Glasgow takes a lot of dedication & hard work, we have never and will never suffer fools gladly! We have always set our stall out to be a Decent Flute Band and to be this a lot of Practice and dedication is Requested at ALL times.

We have had near on 50 members who have passed through our ranks since 1999, sadly many have fell by the way side failing to give the commitment & dedication asked, ironically some failed to understand and take in exactly the meaning & direction of the band, one day we hope to see a lot (not all) of these ex members re apply, we thank them all for their good service to the Band, but it is the membership of today who should take most credit for they have stood the test of time and gave exactly what was asked of them to help bring the band to the level it is at today, because of you the band has succeeded in the preservation & promotion of Noel Kinners name.

Our band practice, engagements & trips to Northern Ireland are compulsory to ALL members and a high level of Practice is requested at home by all instrument players, we don't have different rules for different members Everyone is treated the same, dues are £2 a week if working & £1 a week if unemployed, in an attempt to encourage youth into the band under 16s do not pay Dues, Travel or Uniform but they are requested to help sell CDs etc towards band funds.

The Band is Anti Drugs, we do not care what members have done in their past but for as long as they are a member of the Sons of Ulster Glasgow Drugs will not be tolerated in or out of Uniform.
We do not Drink on the day of an engagement until the band is finished and out of uniform, then and only then is Alcohol permitted, we are a memorial band and Total Respect is shown by our members to everything & everyone the band proudly represents.

A few lads have fell foul of these rules over the years and their expulsion from the band soon followed, if you are thinking of joining us you will be made most Welcome but we ask you to carefully consider our Rules for we are Genuine in our ways and these rules are of paramount importance to the bands future success.

At the going of the sun & in the Morning
We SHALL Remember Them F.G.A.U.

As said earlier any Genuine Loyalist out there is welcome to come a long and join the band, to do so all you need to do is make the 1st step by contacting any of our members to put your name forward or simply just drop us an E Mail on admin@noelkinnersoufb.co.uk
