There have been over 260 attacks on Orange halls since 1989, 14 or more every year, causing great distress to the local community.

A huge amount of attacks have occurred in the years since the first IRA ceasefire of 1994.

Irish nationalism purports to extol the virtues of parity of esteem, and tolerance. Sadly, month on month Protestants are presented with the reality of the nationalist agenda. Cultural annihilation and ethnic cleansing have been used for decades against Orangeism, the British identity and the Northern Protestant.

Nationalist politicians must tackle this issue resolutely. It is also the responsibility of the media to report the realities of the situation in Northern Ireland.
